tbh, I listened to Mirotic AND The Secret Code and they were a little ballad heavy for me. I'm not saying everything has to be an uptempo dance track, but K-pop ballads tend to be pretty bland a lot of the time.
EDIT: Of course this excludes Bolero, a possible candidate for K-pop/J-pop song of the decade.

I agree, majority of my kpop songs are bops, I only keep the ballads that are really good. (Only One, Baby Steps, etc)
