That's not necessarily true. She released Bad Romance in October, of course the Xmas freeze did affect it but she was able to release Telephone in February and that's all a 1Q release schedule too, but they decided to release in November for Holiday sales.

Edit: What's more unlikely is that she's going to release the album in 1Q of 2013. That makes no sense to release the first single early next year along with the album early next year. it's too short of a span.

There were two answers if I remember correctly. Someone asked if we'd get a lead single this year and she said yes, and later she specified that we'd be getting music and she said we'd get something really soon but not necessarily from her album. (which was obviously Kendrick's collab)

Monsters hate details. Why anyone would continue to expect the first single this year when she specifically said the new music we get won't "necessarily be from the new album" is beyond me.

Highly doubt the single's coming this year.

Maybe they'll do january for azealia and gaga collab. I think her collab with Kendrick and Azealia should be singles by the time the album releases. All the monsters will purchase it day 1 so they should take advantage of that.
