On NBC, the two-hour premiere of The Voice scored a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating, down -39% from last season’s time period premiere on Monday 2/6/12 (6.7/17) and is its lowest-rated premiere.

-39% because the premiere of the last season was after the Superbowl. It's still the #1 show, so that's very good!

It CLEARLY says "-39% MONDAY premiere" from the second season. The episode right after Superbowl aired on Sunday, and was the actual 1st show of the season.

Btw, if it's already insane to consider that Superbowl boosted week as part of the average season ratings IMO, to use the Sunday premiere numbers would be even more ludicrous, so all Xtina stans can be relieved.

Those are the full rating numbers, I believe, but as some Xtina fans already explained, the 18-49 demo is what matters. That and the number of viewers.

We've been a Nielsen household in the target demograph for quite some time. Now that it is pretty much a done deal for a Kardashian to be on X-Factor USA, we'll be making sure the Voice keeps getting those ratings. Seriously cannot stand the Kardashians and I know a few other members in Nielsen who are doing the same thing.

12 million for the premiere isn't great. Adding a third night was an error, as was having back to back seasons from Spring to Fall. NBC is going to wear this show down and out. Wouldn't surprise me if they end up winding down to 8-10 million in the next two episodes. I think people are just starting to become tired of this show being on all the time.
