I think what defines circumvention should be changed. I understand why circumvention by adding code in between words or spaces between letters isn't allowed. But changing the word (*****, dang, shiz, gotdamn, etc) isn't really the same thing. Lots of people use those sorts of terms on sites that don't even have filters, just because they don't like actually cursing. If the ad people are detecting curse words, then from my understanding, they'll be detecting the characters f, u, c, and k in a row, for example, and won't even pick up *****. 
Same thing with censoring yourself (f***, bull****, etc). I don't see anything wrong with that either. But it all depends on how the ad providers determine what constitutes swearing, I would suppose. JMO.
