Atleast if the song flops on country, then they would learn their lesson and would not leave the country genre in future singles.
Just saw the video and it was cute. The only thing i didn't like was Taylor's last two wardrobes and the band's silly animal costume. Those costumes were CRINGEWORTHY. But I still like it. And Taylor's attitude throughout the whole video was so great!
IKR? I mean the sales couldn't get any bigger than the 1st 2 weeks' sales if that is what they're after. They should hold on to that #1 spot. The song has caused too much damage on her country career already. The least thing it can do is to give her that 3week or more at the top.

I don`t think we can even see yet if there is an effect. Its not on VEVO, it is very early morning in US. I doubt that people were checking for CMT and MTV at night that much and rushed to buy the song.

Probably. I would expect the only people to watch the special were her fans to begin with and many of them probably already had the song.

I think it was wrong to take that risk. It might make it harder to go to10 even with good songs in the future because the listeners are so prejudiced to not liking her stuff. Backlash is pretty bad.
