I've been considering buying it for a friends birthday (as the album is released on their birthday in the UK) but they are more keen on heavy rock and metal so I'm not sure.

Do you know if they like her? I'd say get it for them, I know quite a few rock / metal enthusiasts that are into P!nk. If they don't like it, it doesn't really matter because it's still one extra sale for P!nk.
