It is so rude to "test" your fanbase. You should be trying to please your fanbase, not trying to turn them away. And any "real" fan would be able to point out your flaws and say, "Hey, you're kind of pulling some real bull**** this time around." The only thing she's testing is to see how many of her fans will eat up anything she does. I definitely do not agree with or support that.

Just to make it clear, she's not saying "if you liked everything, you passed the test," she's saying "thank you for sticking with me through thick and thin. BTW was a massive difference and a huge risk and I appreciate those who stuck through it." Please don't get it twisted.

She didn't just put "different" music out to see if we ran or something, she did what she wanted and what she felt like doing and expressed herself as an artist, not knowing if we (her fans) would like it.
