I would be excited of course because it's new music, but I personally think she will suffer from overexposure.
I thought Pound the Alarm would be an immediate top ten hit, but it seems to have stalled on iTunes. If she keeps putting out the same pop music, I feel like people will get sick of it. And I feel like if she makes only urban music, that her image is already tarnished, so she won't get her album sells back.
I say she just send this era into mid-spring 2013/early summer 2013, build up hype for a new era, and release the album in November 2013.
But we all know that won't happen.
She already has more than enough songs to release as singles from the album as it is, and I'm sure the album will go platinum sooner or later, which is successful enough. And if she did release a mixtape, she just might have a chance at gaining her urban audience back!
