In the UK, DS died long ago. I'm sure without discount (both digital and physical), Stronger would be out of top 75. I don't deny the help of DS in the UK but it's just a little (Stronger is still discounted and currently at #101 on iTunes)
Last week, we see an increase in sale in US because Bestbuy discount (this week Target does the discount)
I know some of you try to be positive but please be realistic

And regardless of how absolutely incredible Dark Side is, I'm sad that it lost drastically in the battle against Wide Awake because it didn't have the advantage of a BMA next day release date, a discount, a promoted trailer for the video or a horrible performance that was widely discussed and ultimately major promo for the song. But at least the song itself remains far superior.

But this quote "More hints more hints, more clues more clues and a decade of hits" was given to me by a intern on RCA (I think Wednesday) I had no ****ing idea what he was talking about, until I saw these posts on pulse:

I don't want to start a set of fireworks here that I become responsible for, but I came across something today that makes me more inclined to believe the EP/Re-Release rumors before the end of the year.

Interesting, because yesterday i went to the Wiki page for AI Album Sales
and it listed a 6th album for Kelly under the name, "Stronger, a decade of hits." I went back to it later in the day and it was removed.

The album title may not be exactly right but close enough to get the point across.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. I actually was thinking recently that instead of the re-release we were wondering about, that it would make much more sense to release a greatest hits CD. People have been talking a lot about how she's been around for 10 years now, and the six new songs she mentioned, along with the Cowboys thing would make plenty of sense for a greatest hits CD. I'm 85% sure that's what's going to happen this fall. I'm glad because it would keep her in the public eye.

Now the question is, are they going to ditch the IFY plans and release a brand new single promoting the Greatest Hits CD or will they stick to IFY? I hope option 1! It would be like a brand new lead single.

Also, did we ever determine if a greatest hits CD would count for a sixth album from Kelly and finish her contract with RCA? I'm guessing it won't. I think the contract is for six albums of new material.

But no way in hell would a greatest hits album have SIX new songs.

But isn't 6 songs too much for a greatest hits ? Mostly they only have like 2 - 4 new songs (I think).

Technically she has 5 albums under her contract (Thankful doesn't count) so she is basically on her fourth album that is completely associated with RCA. But a greatest hits album, a EP, a Christmas record all don't count.

If I was RCA, I would milk the **** out of Kelly if there is even a small chance she might leave the label.

Yeah. It is a lot for a greatest hits. But that's where I think Kelly probably jumbled her words or had wrong information as usual. Maybe she has 6 songs she wants to include, but they'll only pick 2-4.

The latter one. It's a five album contract but it doesn't include Thankful since it was more a American Idol project.
