No, I don't. No anglophones do. The thing with Quebec is that no matter what the topic, the discussion always gravitates back to sperating from Canada. Quebec already pretty much functions as its own country. We're the only province that uses civil law, our provincial legislative body is called the "national assembly" and we get so many concessions from Canada that I'm not surprised 25% of the ROC wants us out. They've even managed to outlaw English, isn't that enough? Do they really need to be their own ****ing country?

It's all a cultural thing. They see themselves as a different people compared to the ROC. They're differences that are based on the historical reality of 400 years ago when France and England used North America as a battleground.

No, it won't do well on it's own beacuse no one can speak English and no one can LEARN English. Resources aside, how are you going to deal with and trade with other countries if you don't even speak the international language of business?

Those rich enough to send their kids to private English school, sure. They harp on about the beauty and importance of French language and culture (i.e. squeaky cheese and sugar shacks), meanwhile they send their kids to American universities. oh wow.. I remember going to montreal and trying my hardest to speak french... they were fascinated but then when they spoke back to me they spoke to fast for me to understand

in the end it was really hard to find an English speaker.. a security guard didn't know english which I found kinda off! nor did he know where the montreal olympic stadium was when I spoke french
