Did y'all hear LOL sold 105k copies on DVD this week? I'm really happy, I'm not really familiar with DVD sales but I was expecting like 75k-90k because honestly only her devoted online fans would know it was on DVD (or even in existence) because of the terrible promotion. So that 105k copies sold add $1,467,726 to its overall gross which is around $10 million now. And it's still yet to be release theatrically in a few countries.

I finally got around to buying it and watching LOL too (I'm aware I'm late) and it's actually really really good. It's by far my favorite movie of hers and honestly I'd probably like it even if Miley weren't my fave. The movie is cute and Miley's acting is A+ and the chemistry between her and all the characters is all great and believable. I like the movie so much I forgive Miley for getting such an ugly haircut.

That whole side swept thing is gross. But this picture made me realize if Miley starts to dislike her hair she get extensions put under the long front part of her hair and sweep it to the side and werk that whole Skrillex/Rihanna/Avril/Cassie/half shaved head look.

There's still 4 months of 2012 left, I'm sure we'll get something. I'd rather her take her time and make a quality album than take a week to record a bunch of pre-written songs/rejected demos and call it a day.

We get the new website and acoustic songs in September, then she's presenting and possibly doing something else at the VMAs, then she's probably filming Two & A Half Men soon, and hopefully we get the other magazine that Liz said Miley would be covering, and maybe she even has other projects she's planning on doing. All of that on top of recording a new album. She's infinitely busier now than she was throughout all of 2011 so I'm good, personally.

I'm excited for the acoustic songs too. I really hope we get to find out the full list of songs she covers.
I'm almost positive she'll change her hair again in at least a month's time. Even dyeing it brown/black would be better I think. And at least last year she was filming movies and touring a little. 2012 has definitely been better though.

What do you guys think about how much the sales for her new album will be?
Just guessing, I mean we can't say a lot about her album cuz we don't know that much but judging from the fans anticipation and the media and stuff? Can she be as successful as she was during the TOOL and Breakout era? Or is she gonna top it and be much better. I really want people to take her seriously like they take Rihanna seriously or Beyonce. I want people to respect her. I mean course not all people but I want her to gain at least her US audience back

We definitely shouldn't expect huge Breakout size sales because a) every artist peaks, Miley is no exception b) album sales are abysmal this year. Even stars like Rihanna and Nicki are struggling to hit the 1 million mark stateside and they're backed by massive hits. But then again, Miley's generally been a good album-seller so we'll see.
I think her main focuses should be:
1. Win back her US audience in terms of commercial success.
2. Get a critically well-received/acclaimed album and deliver great performances, both of these things will help her get taken more seriously as an artist.
3. Expand/appeal to her international audience.
I know she's got the talent to do it and I know her old work ethic is in there somewhere so I know this is all easily achievable if she just tries.
To answer your question, in today's climate I'm hoping towards 700k-900k US and ~3+ million WW. Like I said, album sales are pathetic this year so this is probably being optimistic.

Miley jumped to 11 on Billboards Social 50 this week! I imagine she will finally reach the top ten next week.

I really wish I understood how the Social 50 works. But Miley's gained like 500,000 followers in the past week and like all of her tweets have gotten 10k+ retweets if that counts for anything. Her response to Tyler the Creator got 50k retweets. And they call Gaga the Queen of Twitter.

Honestly I don't think it will be hard to outsell Can't Be Tamed. So at least the bar is set low.
Her comment about "not caring if I make a dime on this album" makes me worry a little that she won't care enough to promote it, but I know Miley is competitive. I really think she'll up her game this era.

I think she just said that and didn't really mean it. I mean like she says a lot of **** but never does it. I think that she is very serious with this album tho and I'm sure she cares if people will like it or not.

well it blends gaining of Friends/Likes/Follows from MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc. as well as page visits and weekly song plays. I imagine her page visits and gaining of Friends/Likes/Follows is extremely high this week.
