I'd have to agree that album sales will definitely be negatively impacted by this single. The song just screams to the single buying crowd and half the people who buy it won't want the album. If the album is great though than this sets it up for major longevity because it won't have a super-massive debut week.

I feel like Adele revitalized album sales in POP music, so I'm hoping she won't have trouble with the album. *fingers crossed*
What if everyone who likes the single has the single cover as their avi, and everyone else puts the "Red" cover, cause let's be honest, that cover is RED-hot.

Depends. First week sales will be lower than Speak Now but if she has more country-esque song she will have longevity and still sell well. I think Tay is going to play the right cards.She knew radio wasn't here for her last time so now she's making them embrace her.

This song is the pits. A good Pop song. But a wrong direction for her. That's all.
If Taylor releases more serious meaningful songs as the promo singles then she will gain back any fans she alienated with WANEGBT and still have a massive 1st single giving her much more pop appeal.

I have seen many people who normally defend Taylor say some bad things about her recently and I can't blame them because I feel the same way. She really has let down alot of her fans and if her goal was to add a hot 100 #1 to her legacy than she's accomplished that but songs like this better not be a theme for her from now on. I mean its either the disney crowd or the rest of us and guess what the disney crowd will drop you quick so the right choice would be us.
