Yes Hilary shot Raise Your Voice from late January - mid March and The Perfect Man from mid April - mid June all the while recording her sophomore album in 2004. She proceeded to go on tour in late July and recorded up until the final week of August.
She recorded mostly on the weekends while shooting the films. Selena can do the same I'm sure.
