How is that possible when there is digital music now? They will be remembered just like Elvis is remembered now.
Because the amount of new music constantly coming out will eventually overwhelm pre-2000 music. Not to mention that music is already dated... It's only a matter of time before it's forgotten about altogether.

True but I don't think megastars like Madonna/MJ can ever be forgotten. Their music will live on even if 100 years from now only 50 people own their albums or know their songs through itunes etc.
