I guess we will all have to wait and see what the songs is like upon it's release. HIAM wasn't a big seller, it only had frontloaded sales.

Well the digital era took off in 2006 and she's released two albums, and a greatest hits since then. I don't see why she will fail if she uses the X Factor to her advantage, she isn't stupid.

The thing is, Xtina is such a digital nonentity (no shade, you know it's true) that it's almost like she's starting new. A fresh start in the digital world. Like she was the new girl on MLJ who's about to release her own 1st single.

In order for this single to be successful, they should send the song out for radio adds three weeks before releasing it (next week). The song should be sent to itunes September 4th, with the vmas being two days later and their is a strong possibility that xtina will perform, that will give the single some hype and the song will hopefully rise to the top of itunes giving her a top 10 debut on the billboard charts 100.

And MLJ definitely exposed her to the new era of digital buyers. I think people will associate her with that song, and seeing as it was such a success, her new single will accordingly do quite well!

Not really. The digital age really took off in 08. 05-07 was like that weird period when were transitioning from the old age to the new age.
