It opens up all kinds of intriguing questions about the role of the artist, authorial intent, and more. For example, if you come up with a meaning that's supported in the song, does it even matter if that's the meaning the artist intended?

Of course and I like it to an extent when we're analyzing everything interpreting and trying to figure out the meaning. For example I liked what she did with the Judas and Y&I video where we analyzed things even the smaller details to realize the complete meaning. I also read this fan interpretation of Monster that relates to it actually being about The Fame and her rise not just about some guy *****ing her. However, often times more in particular with The Fame, I felt the deeper meanings were a bit more of a reach. However, I also get the feeling she uses the excuse when she writes nonsensical lyrics. Such as MTN has so many random lines one point it's talking about love, then new york, then fame, then who knows. While I can understand and interpret multiple meanings from it, I sometimes think she uses "its art" as an excuse for making lyrics that don't make sense. I like those kind of songs but I'd also like some songs that are more blatant or at least slightly more obvious. Obviously I stan for Gaga and most of her music and I'm very excited for ARTPOP.

So far we've managed to catch Andy Warhol, Art, pop music, and The Fame/famous people. So far it seems kinda like The Fame 2013 edition. While it all sounds very exciting, I hope there's a bit more to it than what we currently know. I always want to see her progress and I don't want her to just remain forever stuck on talking about Warhol and The Fame.

Swan Song is a reference to someone's/something's last act or in this case the last song on the album. For example The Dark Night is often referred to as Heath Ledger's swan song because that was his last major performance prior to his death and it was very well received critically. She also said that the swan song was the title track meaning that the last song on the album is also the title track and is the song she played to fans in her car.

In Fashion you know you have succeeded when there's an element of controversy. In Pop music you know you have succeeded when there's an element of Crime.
I believe that's how it goes.
