I'm glad Timbaland is involved. I could guess that Drake will be heavily included in this new posthumous album because he literally adores her and this is kind of his way of collaborating with her.

that would be a valid argument if anyone actually knew conclusively what the feelings of her family were. since he's gone ahead and released the music with the blackground label logo on the single art i think we have to assume that he in fact did go to her family for approval before going ahead with it. there's no evidence to suggest he just went off and did his own thing without consulting them.

I dunno, the fact that mere months ago her brother said "no album was in the works" makes me really suspicious. I hope the family approves though.

I think it would be most fair to just put out the acapellas and let fans/producers make versions, make it a big site or something. But that would never happen haha.

Why are they all now coming out of their woodwork's. Where were they all this years. None of them put out any track nor talked about her. They had 11 years to do that.

At the end of the day Aaliyah fans have been waiting for over 10 years to hear some new music and during that time Timberland , he has not talked about producing anything, and even if he did we would have waited for another 20 years. Instead he's publicly saying that Beyonce and Timberlake are the most complete artists he's ever worked with.

If Aaliyah's family approved of this, who are the producers to say no
