Your Welcome...its hard to follow on which dancer is Jen..but if you look for the one with the fairly large ass and short black hair than you'll see.lol.
The SL routine is simple. The steps are repetitive, but extensive, meaning there's a lot of steps in the count. It's a combination of jazz and lyrical steps (a pinch of ballet too), both are simple styles of dance that don't require much technique, but are taxing on the body cuz the steps are extensive. There are thousands of SL vids on YouTube cuz the routine is simple. Anyone with rhythm and can move to a beat can do it, some have done it better than Beyonce. RTW, the beginning is somewhat intricate with the 4 count step and the 3 count turns, but after that its the same as SL, simple extensive steps.
Thankk youuuu!
Finally, somebody that knows what they are talking about.

I couldn't figure out which one she was until watching the video for a bit and recognizing her face. Much better-looking nowadays.

I'm a dancer. I've been taught by professional dancers. 2 of which used to be a part of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. They have used both "genre" and "style".
Single Ladies has not been replicated so many times because it is simple. That is because the video had impact on Popular culture. It was popular to do. I watched the video again just to make sure I had my **** together. It is a bit repetitive, yes. I'll admit that it's not incredibly difficult. But I cannot agree that it is simple. Some parts are easier than others. Some are harder. I can't agree that anyone with rhythm can pull it off. As for Run The World. In my opinion, it is mostly difficult. The ending part is easy. The beginning is definitely intricate. No the middle isn't incredibly hard, but it is far from simple. Love On Top is what I would call simple. No, not anyone with rhythm can do it.

I guess this is really a matter of opinion.
The reason why there are hundred of SL routines is because it is a simple routine to learn. Why do you think there aren't hundreds of ppl doing "Smooth Criminal" or "Rhythm Nation"? Because the routines aren't easy. SL and RTW are easy, but I guess I have higher standards since I favor The Jackson's dancing.

Rhythm Nation and Smooth Criminal are harder than Single Ladies and Run The World. DEFINITELY. My view after this whole discussion. Single Ladies is repetitive, but that doesn't make it simple or easy to do. There is the issue of execution and precision and like you said, it is extensive and taxing on the body. Run The World is more difficult. Yes, there are some simple parts to the routine but that doesn't make it easy. It still has its intricate parts. Also, the fact that a step is repeated many times does not make it easy to do. And once again, execution and precision are everything. Doing your best to execute a routine to your best ability and being precise incidentally make the entire routine harder.
Beyonce isn't as good as Janet or Michael in terms of dancing. I even think J.Lo is slightly better. That doesn't mean she isn't a skilled dancer. She is better than her peers at the very least. RTW and SL aren't the hardest pieces ever and they aren't harder than some of Michael and Janet's stuff, but let's face it. Most of today's Pop girls, even the ones that dance, could never.
And I know no one cares anymore, but I just have to get this out.
A lot of Beyonce's choreography is simple, but some of it is intricate. Most of her choreography, whatever you want to call it, is too hard for most of her peers to do. Most importantly, intricacy isn't everything. A good dancer is not defined by difficulty of the choreography, but by how they execute the choreography. Beyonce has rhythm. She has stage presence. She is fierce. She is a grade-A performer in general. This is not to say Michael, Janet or J. Lo are boring, because they are not. But I would much rather watch someone SLAY some basic choreo than be bored by somebody performing complex choreo with no energy or feeling. Beyonce is a great dancer because she takes what may be technically basic to new heights.
Honestly if that's Bey's best choreography that isn't booty popping then
She's honestly not doing very much
Yet you included her in the poll and called her one of the best dancers of this generation so your logic fails at this point
And anyone who says all Bey does is ass shake is a damn fool. Let's not act like Jenny from the block didn't anything but shake ass on In Living Color.
