Yes I know..I know "I miss you" was something Aaliyah wanted on her last album and as a single but her label told her no. I'm talking about the fact that a whole new album is being released. I'm not saying the Drake won't do justice but I think it would be kinda of strange if he was only producing it. At least get some producers that knew her style and what she liked.

Exactly, or they should release their own. Why are they all waiting for Drake to call them. I have a feeling they know that it wouldn't create as much buzz. I mean, if Timberland and Missy release a song with Aaliyah's vocals, will the interest be as much as it is now?

Drake ain't even produce that song, Noah "40" Shebib did. I'M. Sure they would've consulted Tim and Missy to do something with this upcoming Aaliyah album.

YES Aaliyah had a song with DMX. But she was a featured artist, it wasn't on her album, let alone a LEAD SINGLE. All of the raps on her songs - We Need a Resolution for example, are smooth. It's just a shame that Drake would put that kind of verse on a song that signifies Aaliyahs much awaited return to music - it detracts from the song as it just seems so incongruous.

Edit: sorry she was the main artist, I was confusing it with another song she was featured on, but it was a soundtrack song. Flop stan

Why are people getting into Missy & Tim so much?? Other people are capable of loving her. Obviously her family thinks highly of Drake if they allowed this and Unforgettable to happen. Not to mention they're classy tracks and both BOP!

Tim's production of new Aaliyah material would've sounded dated anyway because he would've been too stuck on the sound and production from 11 years ago when she recorded.

Hell, it arguable that she would have transitioned to a sound like this anyway, seeing as this track fits her vocal perfectly. People dont work with the same producers, track by track, their entire career. I mean, come on Atrl.
