well, the kids and teenagers now like Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, etc, even though they talk about sex in their songs.. so it means that disney artists have more competition (and taylor and justin have a big power and they are not from disney neither)... but I think selena has more sales outside the US now than with her first album.. is it right?

I need an American Idol performance next era. And if her vocals haven't improved by then, pre-record them vocals. 
If they end uo releasing My Dilemma as a proper single, I hope they get her to perform on The X-Factor. Demi should help a friend out.

About album sales and all that, here's how I see it. What Miley and Hilary benefited in was that during their time, they were the only true teen acts out there. No real competition. Unlike now that fans go different ways and pick who they want to support since they have Miley, Demi and Selena. Fans choose to support who they like the most. I don't know if I explained myself well, but I know what I mean.

yes, before you couldnt choose so much.. but now there are teen idols everywhere. Moreover, not only we stan for someone, but we want the others flop.. but this is not only in this teen field, it happens in all the fanbases

Back in Hilary's heyday it was Hilary vs. Lindsay in EVERYTHING. You couldn't like one, but also like the other. While Lindsay did better at the Box Office, Hilary demolished Lindsay in music.
With the latest crop of Disney girls, it's been almost exclusive to competitiveness with their album sales and overall music success.

But Hilary slayed Lindsay in music without even trying. Today's girls are neck to neck on everything.
