What I think people aren't understanding is that this company is actively donating to groups that work to make sure that gays and lesbians will NEVER have the same rights as their heterosexual brethren. This isn't a matter of free speech, this is a matter of someone using their status in the world to help spread inequality. And by buying their products, you are actively ensuring an unequal future for not just us, but our children, nephews, nieces, and anyone else in the future who might be gay.
People say we need to respect people's freedom a speech, but since when is the KKK respected? Sure, we allow them to exist in our modern society, but no one takes anything they say seriously. Yet the religious right continues to force their agenda on the American people when it's clear that the majority of Americans want to see equality for all Americans, not just the ones who **** the other sex. Any group that promotes intolerance and inequality should not be respected. We've evolved to understand that not all opinions are valid, some are vile and baseless and only act to keep certain groups in line.
Let's think about this. We're gathering hateful people in a small contained area, where it would be rather simple for a Pro Gay Rights Extremist to open fire on the entire restaurant.
Not exactly brilliant people we're dealing with here, but that's obvious.

I would seriously hope any and all pro gay rights activists wouldn't resort to such heinous tactics. That's the last thing the LGBT community stands for.
No, it will. Slowly but surely. States are legalizing gay marriage at a quicker rate than ever, and a Federal Judge in Connecticut just ruled DOMA unconstitutional. It's making its way to the Supreme Court, albeit slowly...
Change never seems to be a quick thing in this country....We can move to Sweden or Norway together, okay?
something like this won't stop me from eating somewhere. I would never go to one of those events because I am for gay marriage. But you gotta understand it's 1 person who just happens to be in ciharge that is against it. That doesn't mean the person serving the food is anti gay.

but it means money that is spent there goes to anti-gay organizations.

Well obviously, but not everyone that is pro gay rights, is in LGBT, and all it takes is one nutcase, aka the Colorado incident.

Cha-ching, you win the thread.
This type of logical reasoning isn't something found in the far-right...
