She WASN'T snubbed at the Grammys. She got 3 nods including ALBUM OF THE YEAR.If her team actually submitted TEOG and it still didn't nominated for a top honour,I would have called it a snub.If you're talking about winning,EVERYONE lost to Adele, not just Gaga,so.
VMAs:
1. Songs didn't smash.
2. Her videos weren't objectively good.
3. She isn't attending.
Because she doesn't have anything worth being nominated in this year. Does that mean she's fading? No, it just means that she doesn't have anything new. The choices for her being nominated are Marry the Night and You & I. None of those were incredible hits (although You & I did considerably well). We all knew the chances of her being nominated for any of those were slim to none. I forgot when was it agreed that the VMA's nominations meant incredible quality and substance.
And that's funny... because Lady Gaga is the second artist with the most VMA's wins in history and that was achieved only 3 years into her career. Other artists who have been in the industry for 13+ years haven't even won more than 6 VMA's (and were also continually snubbed by the grammy's). I guess, by your reasoning, that means they faded really soon into their careers or never met quality standards.
Of course, your obsession with Gaga will make you try to reach in every possible way to come at her success. Meanwhile, the "fading" star is selling out stadiums worldwide and outgrossing other girl's whole tours with only 1/8 of her tourdates.
Better question: Why are the non-fans more affected by Gaga not receiving any nominations than the fans - maybe even Gaga herself?
Everyone is just trying to wrap their head around why an artist like Lady Gaga would be snubbed at two of the
biggest music award shows of the year, especially with an album that she hailed was "the album
of the decade." It doesn't make much sense, but everyone is trying to understand.
Here's a better question: Why does HoleforDrLuke'sDick Ke$ha have as many VMA and Grammy awards as Lady GaGa does 2012 VMA nominations, despite being in the business for nearly three years?
