I feel the exact same way. It's an awesome collection of songs, but to me it's not really an "album", it's a bunch of cool songs thrown together. That's why it doesn't compare to Rated R or GGGB. One could argue "it shows all the different facets to Rihanna's personality!" but there are ways to do that without being so polarising. I still laugh at how Loud's track listing goes 'Fading', 'Only Girl', 'California King Bed', 'Man Down', 'Raining Men'. They're all good songs but so completely different to each other, they don't work well together at all.

I think that's why I hardly listen to Loud anymore. Too all over the place, all the songs can easily be split up and distributed to her other albums, and sound cohesive together.

And which Album was nominated for Album of the year and Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys

She also won a Brit for Loud (Best International Female) in 2010 unlike GGGB which only got nominated.

Loud was clearly released so Rihanna could gain respect from the general public again after Rated R. It's fun and light and all that just because of that. We all know that's not really what Rihanna wants to be, or want to be about.

So now we know what your opinion is based on, i'm embarrassed for the Navy at times like this like seriously? People be stanning for sales and awards when it should be all about the music.

And ugh I don't wanna generalize but it's obvious that most people who love Loud so much started stanning during that era so I can see why it feels special for them but there's barely anyone who stanned during the GGGB era and still thinks that Loud is better or had more impact, I mean you had to live that era to really feel it.

I'm in here and every other day I'm saying What's My Name is Rihanna's best song and O Na Na is iconic I'm stanning for her music I don't stan for sales I'm just putting it out there Loud got more than GGGB did in recognition with the noms and and awards! I love Loud and thinks its her best because of the music the red hair the video her overall image of the album that's why I like it and its my opinion likes its your opinion that GGGB is her best album so don't try to tell me what I stan for and why.
