She's a J-O-K-E. The Britney stans like to cling to BOMT as if a 20M+ seller has never happened before. Mariah on top of being more respected than Britney, and more successful than Britney, and more acclaimed than Britney, and more talented than Britney, and more influential than Britney, will be more remembered than Britney. Because she's actually contributed something of substance to the music industry.
It's a shame that Britney's "iconic" hit is just some dated, bottom of the barrel trash. All I Want For Christmas will be getting spins long after Mariah's six-feet under.
If Britney died today, what song would be played for her? What song of hers would climb up the charts? What song would people listen to as a symbol for her and her career? "Toxic"? "Oops I Did It Again"? "Womanizer"? "Boys" (Pharrell remix)?
