However, Mariah has seen her album sales increase dramatically through imports. When you factor in imports, her total album sales equate to around 17.8 million albums. Her #1's album is the best-selling international release in Japanese history - over 3.5 million copies sold.
Mariah also remains a prominent force at radio stations and the singles chart in Japan. She's still highly popular in many parts of Asia. Her past achievements gave her a big margin of distance towards any other international artist.

Hopefully they give her an x factor performance for triumphant or the second single and maybe they can put her as the guest judge at the judges house to introduce her as a judge
