It's taken the usual amount of time that it takes to record a full-length album. It only feels like a really long wait because there has been such a big gap since the last time she actually released new music which was in November 2010.

What? How do you guys know she's still recording? She tweeted that the songs are going out to mix. If Ke$ha is working on it whilst its being mixed doesn't necessarily mean she's recording. I mean she could be involved with other behind-the-scene stuff.

Because Dr. Luke tweeted that they were working on it today..

Songs have arguably been going out to mix for weeks now. Before Ke$ha addressed it herself, tweets between Dr. Luke and Emily Wright implied this. It's likely that each batch of recorded songs are sent out for mixing as they are completed. Ke$ha may have said that songs were ready for mixing, but that doesn't necessarily mean the whole record has been completed. The album is close to being done, but it's not quite there yet. It won't be too much longer though. Don't worry.

Dr. Luke only works on the musical side of things, so they are doing something to do with the music itself. Ultimately, he's just a producer. I know he has a sub-label and all, but judging by his tweets.. RCA have all the control with Ke$ha. Anyway, they are either recording, tweaking some sounds, or mixing. A majority of it is done though, so I'm not too worried. Perhaps they are just adding on some final touches.

Anyway, she just tweeted some lyrics. It's coming!

Agreed. It could just be putting the tracklist togheter, choosing the singles, final touches on some beats
