I don't get how that is mixing though? That official version has completely new production, which is more like remastering than anything. Isn't mixing where they compress the audio files and sounds so it's ready for distribution? I still can't get my head around what it means.
Mixing is the process in which you use your faders to create the overall sound and blend that you are looking for.. such as adding more bass. You can't really put a time on it but it should only take a week or two for a whole album. I stole all this from yahoo answers

he already finished mixing some according to his twitter, I'm also guessing that we'll get the record a month after the single!
No way the album will come any less than 2 months after the first single. That first single is going to be a SMASH and that extra time will be needed for promotion.
