Haha, you don't need to pick a day. We usually keep help requests open until we get the original moderator, a decent census to appeal, or a discussion started. In this case, we're just trying to discuss the general concept of nicknames. For the most part nicknames are usually only allowed in SYG, but I guess we're more accepting of the respective Bases having nicknames... but that is more subjective, since it's not technically allowed.

This whole comment could be a plausible pledge. I think It could do wonders, HOWEVER, it could result into excessive name dropping and what not

Actually, it could/would elevate the Bases usage, because some people instead of
crying for those closed albums threads, they could use the artist base; let's be
honest, a lot of people is thirsty of giving an awesome nickname to their fave,
why don't they do it on SYG? because they think it's a horrible/risky/messy place.

Legend X doesn't sound like a nickname to me. From my understanding, the rule applies to stuff like Beys-s, RihG-D, Success-ca Legends-n, etc. Things like Bey, Rih, Brit, Xtina, etc are okay. Same goes to things like Queen Bey and King B (™), and Legend X would seem to fall into that category, in my opinion.

Just my two cents.

I think that nicknames should be allowed.

But just like how "stanning" is allowed, or being moderately off topic in base; if it gets overboard (nicknames in EVERY post) it should be warned similarly to off topic. But that's just my 2 cents.

Ultimately, and eventually they will conclude to a concrete law. Only time will tell when, and what degree of authority are they going to mandate.

The difference in the rule is mangled names are off limits but attributed names are pretty much allowed.

Blonde-ney = No.
Blonde Britney = Yes.

EDIT: Oop, I guess I wasn't clear. I meant we're discussing the "Legend X" warning, not that we're discussing letting mangled nicknames in. Y'all can keep those messes in SYG and SYG only.
