I think she should take a break. That's just my opinion. It would be good for her and the general public. I think she needs to rest and think. She needs to sit down and try to write. Make some quality music and take her time with it. I know she said "music connects her to her fans" or something along the lines of that on her twitter, that's why she releases yearly, but she should take her time and don't rush herself. Plus, her singles overlap each other. She needs to give them time to smash and promote them properly without just rushing to the next thing. Give the general public time to miss you...that way when you come back, you'll have them eating out the palm of your hand with a new smash single.
However, with the #1 album situation, it really doesn't matter. Her sales speak for themselves. It would be nice if she hit number one, but there are some #1 albums that peak with low sales and you know for a fact that they won't go platinum. If she keeps selling a 1,000,000 + on each album with no #1, does it really matter in the long run?
But, I'm not her. I can't make her decisions. Whatever she decides to do, that's her. As long as she remembers to take her time making quality music that she, her fans, and the general public love and that she doesn't overwork herself and gives herself a break every now and then, I'm all for it.
