What I find annoying is that it's obviously her label forcing her to release every year. (I love Rih) but it's not as if she's the main writer of the album so she suddenly realised she's written enough songs to make an album, her label has paid for the songs to be done by a certain time. Even though TTT was slightly messy, she is one of the biggest stars right now so she can afford to wait a little longer.

And it's affecting her singles too. The single doesn't peak yet and she already releases a new single. Her songs would chart better if she gave them more time to peak.

I still dont get it.... so Rihanna releasing an album every year is different from what GAGA DOES?????? She appeared in 2008 and this year she will put out her 4TH album....

CMON... Double standards annoy me.... Rihanna sells an average of 1.4M albums in the US and +4.5M albums WW each album....

WHY in hell should she stop releasing if she has the songs and she still wants to keep on releasing so fast?

Envy is the answer for the people that dont want new album every year.

If your fave wants to milk every album for +2 years then its ok, but if she doesnt and releases new music every year she is doing wrong?

But................Gaga doesn't release an album every year though. TF was released in 2008, TFM in 2009, BTW in 2011 and new album this year (most likely). Alejandro was the last single off TFM, and it was almost a year until the BTW song was released, thus giving people a break from hearing about her. She didn't even re-release the album. When Rihanna started the TTT era, it was like after a month Cheers was released I believe, barely any time to get hype for the album.

Alejandro to BTW was 7-8 months apart
MTN to next lead is another 8 months

Well I think Lady Gaga also saturates a lot the market . . . . but at least she doesn't release as much singles as Rihanna, I mean there's been like 8 months since we don't have any new single or her.

On the other hand Rihanna has released 6 albums every year, and she releases a bunch countless singles all the time.
