I don't think it's a big secret that one of the reasons Taylor doesn't seem to get the respect she deserves is because of her fanbase. People have a preconceived notion of the stereotypical "swiftie." They categorize Taylor with the Disney crowd and think that her fans are only 12-year old girls who write 13 on their hands and all that stuff.
I don't think it's right to judge an artist solely be a fanbase, especially one like Taylor's. While there are people like that in the fanbase, it's much more than that too. I'm a 19 year old guy and I love her. I've seen her four times and each time there is a pretty good mix at her concerts. Yes, the majority are younger girls, however, there's many other types of people there too.
I know this is besides the point but what I'm trying to prove is that Taylor is very talented but people tend to classify her as a teeny-bopper artist and don't actually look at what she produces, which saddens me.
I'm hoping that LP4 really changes the way that people view her because she has a lot to offer. I like the Mumford and Sons idea- I want her to try something a little like them. Maybe a few folk-type songs. Also, I want her to get a bit back to her country roots. I feel as though Speak Now was pushing it, as stated before, and I think academies and award voters took note of that and snubbed her due to it. I don't mind the balance between country and pop, but I feel as though Speak Now ventured almost solely into the pop category which may not prove a good thing in the long run, as country music is where she is most successful.
I agree with everything you said and hope this era manages to change that perception. Someone said they see shades of Dylan in her writing and I agree. Hopefully she has the same thinking pattern as us about where to go next and does some folf, bluegrass and southern rock indie type stuff. I really think it would work for her and if the songs are right she could definitely hit it with pop and country. The signs are good with the cowriters she has chosen and some comments she has has made about the album so hoping for the best and that 2013 proves lucky for her at the ACMs and CMAs. I don't see her winning anything at the CMAs this year because I think they are going to give any awards to Carrie or Miranda but if the new album is country enough with pop appeal 2013 should be her year.
The one before the last . I'll wake up at 4 ( like usually ) and study until I head off for the exam , I love studying at that time , I memorize faster xD .

Good Night & Good Luck!
Kinda random, but does anyone wanna trade songs? Im desperately looking for the song Nashville, not the cover, the one she wrote. If any one could help me out it would be greatly appreciated

It isn't in circulation, and I doubt it will be anytime soon. It's one of the Sony protected songs. Trust me, I want her song "Castles Crumbling" so badly, but it's also Sony protected.
Wasn't there a rumor a few months ago that she did a collab with Mumford & Sons?
Really I never heard that rumour but it would be wonderful if that were true and the song made the album. That and a collaboration with the Dixie chicks would kill me. I couldn't handle the awesomeness.

Yeah, I don't foresee us ever hearing "Nashville" to be honest. Very, very few people have it and it's not in circulation. Song trading, at least for now, is pretty dead. Mostly every song has leaked and everyone is much more protective over the songs that they do have. The only person who we know for sure has "Nashville" is Steve, from DBT, and he doesn't trade- nor would anyone have anything he needs, sans "Somebody Loves You," which no one may have, to be honest.
And Jason Aldean climbs to Top 5, surprising, even Tim McGraw only reached #12 in its debut week
I think he's one of the strongest country digital seller today
Carrie's GG peaked at #3 on iTunes right? Well, he becomes stronger in digital sales
Also, no one SN single can outsell DRA
