What direction do you guys think she's heading when she said 'musical departure'?
Less country, more pop, rock?
More country, folk, bluesy?
Hopefully more folky.
But if she went that way, she would not smash worldwide most likely

I fell in love with Our Song: her looks in the video and the song's catchiness. Not lyrics or anything. So I didn't necessarily become a fan after hearing her voice, but I have always loved it.
Seems like we're getting close to some real news on the album and so forth. I'm excited and optimistic that it will be a big step forward musically and critically. It'll be interesting to see how it resonates with those who havn't been big fans of her music and persona before and how she continues to relate to her existing audience. I'm hoping Taylor and her label will see that growth and moving forward even at the risk of losing some of the much younger fans is how she needs to go in order to further her legacy and her career.

I hope so too. It will certainly be interesting to see if the younger fans stay with her. I hope they do but as long as the music is good I'll be a fan I just hope she keeps me as a fan and stays extremely popular at the same time because good music should always be rewarded with strong sales or at least industry recognition although many great acts miss out on both
