The song, now covered by even Cookie Monster, as "Share It Maybe" ("it" being a cookie, of course), ties Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" (eight weeks in 2005, the chart's first year contributing to the Hot 100) for the longest reign on Hot Digital Songs by a lead solo female. Flo Rida's "Low," featuring T-Pain, holds the mark among all titles, with 13 weeks atop Hot Digital Songs in 2007-08.
I really think Wide Awake will be #1 next week though... CMM is already down to #4 on iTunes. (Unless the 25 cent Amazon discount helps CMM stay at #1).

On Digital Songs? Probably. But I think Carly has Radio and Streaming advantages that will help her out.
RITD is an excellent comparison to project STIUTK's sales.
STIUTK sales for the last three weeks have been 176k-156k-142k while for RITD EXACTLY one year ago it was 170k-152k-137k. Very similar.
At this point STIUTK is 1,393,000 ahead of RITD. RITD sold another 2,966,000 copies in the last year. If STIUTK sells the same amount (it will need to win the Grammy for that) it will be nearly at 8.7 million units at this point next year and could even become the biggest selling digital single of all-time!
