Wouldn't it be amazing if she brought electro-alternative music into the spotlight or followed the incoming wave of it? It could garner critical acclaim and respect, while still being commercial and appealing to the general public.

In the movie it mentions that there was an argument over what should be Katys lead single and that it was between 3 songs, what do you think they were? I Kissed a Girl, Hot n Cold and Vegas, maybe? Though One of The Boys or If You Can Afford Me seem likely too - OOTB would've been the 5th single if Katy didn't start working on Teenage Dream.
I read on Wikipedia () a few years ago that it was gonna be Thinking of You, but I guess that's fanmade ******** based on the original TOY video? That would've been an AWFUL lead single.
I remember reading somewhere that Thinking of You was going to be her first single...but I don't remember where..also, her album was also going to be called Fingerprints so maybe that was another option, but who knows, someone needs to ask Katy.

No, I just really want her to branch out and show people that she isn't just one of Luke's "bitches." And I know she has COMPLETE control over Teenage Dream and she, herself, decided to go mega commercial, but this time I want her to do something different.
Also, over her time off I think she should start vocal training again. That's what I want the most. Not gonna lie, her voice sounds shaky and out of control live sometimes. But then other times it sounds literally flawless. If she can broaden her range, focus on breathing techniques, gain and master her vocals, etc., she'll slay.
*PS. I like to bold things that are important, because we all know that she and her team skim through these threads and this website.
I agree with ALL of this. Just imagine how much more she would slay next era if she was more consistent with her vocals Above even her talent and potential, the next best thing Katy has going for her is that she is so smart. I really think the sky is the limit for her
