RCA probably thought it didn't stand much of a chance, as Ke$ha probably wouldn't have any time to spare promoting it considering she was constantly travelling. "The Harold Song" is not the type of track that could just take off on itself. Ke$ha would need to be out there for promotion constantly. RCA probably didn't want her top 10 streak to break.

For Ke$ha, no it would need work, but for another pop star it would of, its a really, really good song, and also just cause she is travelling doesnt mean she cant promote, she can use that to her advantage and promote the track around the world
