I feel like if the remixes were released soon and all of us got the remixes (individually), Dark Side would move into at least the 60s. I feel like all the songs down there are pretty damn close to one another, don't you think?

The song at #81 on iTunes right now is Dark Side from Kelly Clarkson's album Stronger (Deluxe version). Purchasing any remix of the song (or even the version from the standard album) would not affect the position of the track currently at 81.

It helps it on the BBH100 but not its iTunes position.

because the BBH100 counts every single/remix towards Dark Side's position
But iTunes charts them all individually

On the Hot 100 (as well as the Hot Digital Songs chart), all versions of the same song count towards a song's position. On the Hot Digital Tracks chart and charts like the iTunes or Amazon chart, different versions of a song (deluxe vs. standard, explicit vs. clean, remix vs original mix) chart separately.

Streaming is a HUGE amount of it.. go on spotify and other things, and stream that **** all day.

I thought the new rule made it alot harder for songs to climb quickly (not that that would affect Dark Side's slow moving ass )

Omg. DejaVu coming with the true tea about us needing to listen on Spotify. Totally forgot about that.. I've been so busy thinking about the iTunes position and airplay I haven't even bothered considering the Hot 100 position.

Streaming counts for way more than 5% now these days with the Hot 100. It's now a pretty big factor..I actually think the timing was good when they implemented it because if Streaming were this big a factor when Stronger was out it may not have hit #1 or at least stayed for 3 weeks. Kelly doesn't do well on streaming

It's gonna be a lot harder to get #1's these days. Katy wouldn't have gotten her #1 debut with POM either.
