Radio requests DO help as long as it isn't complete spam and flooding the DJ's inboxes. Us requesting more will not hurt at all and could actually help her get more plays.

They even have special tools to make the requesting easier - for example http://support.rihanna-diva.com/

But the question is...are the mediabase requests effective? Do the stations look at them and actually play music according to them?

...anyway, I have a KCE account. They actually have a request thread with all those radio links for every station and Vh1 and people's choice all in there already. I would have copied and pasted that list but I can't access the KCE at work. But I'll go in there later and reinforce the requesting.

Operation Dark Side! I'm requesting everywhere I can. Just voted a few times via twitter for Jojo's Top 9 at 9.

I liked the idea of assigning specific stans to certain stations. This **** is gettin ruhl organized. I love it.

Here is the website to request at Philly's Top 40 station. They havn't even added it. I've been writing it in. Can some of y'all make some requests there too? It's Philly's biggest station!

2. Justin has A LOT more fans then Kelly.

3. Why do you think Justin never had a radio hit before ? He always had the crazy teens supporting him and they were requesting his songs since day 1 !! That's the main reason why he is unsuccessful on radio. The only reason Boyfriend became a respectable hit was because of his radio deals, not the radio requests.

4. Radio stations see the IP addresses of the ones that send in the request so yes, they always know when stans have a "Let's request the hell out if it so it doesn't flop" moment. You are from the UK, do you seriously thing they are going to play your request ? lolz.

5. Don't tell me you are tired of all the negativity when I was positive from day one. Did you forget the whole lecture I give a couple of weeks ago ? Yes, Already Gone was moving slow as well but by this time it was in the top 40 on Itunes with no promotion yet. I've been lurking around on music forums in 2008 and started "specializing" since 2009 so I know my **** and I know how a flop smells.

I do realize that RCA hasn't rush released a single yet, but y'all are forgetting that there is a new CEO and that Clive isn't the executive producer anymore, so things have changed. Did y'all notice how quietly they handled when P!nk's single leaked ? If this new team is smart (and I pray they are) they rush release I Forgive You as a official single with a banner on Itunes and let it impact on radio twice.

There is still hope for this era, Rihanna had two/three underperformed singles before Where Have You Been which is blowing up at the moment.

Seriously ? This is coming from a mega hit. The highest spin gain it received so far was 88 spins (which wasn't even official) and I remember All I Ever Wanted having a couple of +100 spins and this song has yet to have one. I'm being realistic not pessimistic.

I'm perfectly calm. If you want to request, that's fine (even though it won't work). But people requesting from outside the UK will only make the situation worst. Cause the radio DJ's will automatically know it's a stan trying to make Dark Side happen and it will be automatically be seen as spamming.

This is coming from someone that didn't even know what a negative bullet was a couple of months ago. You don't even know how the system works. All these radio request, twitter/facebook spamming, buying the songs again, trending topics, I have done it all baby. I have more knowledge then you when it comes to the music industry and yet you are to ignorant to see it.
