I honestly don't think that we'll even get a lead single this year. Knowing Gaga, she'll announce the album title in September of this year and then announce an album release date of August 28th, 2013.

The EP sold 1 mil in America. It's sold more than that outside the states.

Same here. I think people place too much science upon sales. It's not impossible for her to climb back up in sales. A few other artist have done it themselves. She may not sell 5 million collectively but it's still possible.
