Believers will totally turn this around, they'll start saying "Oh, 373K, your faves could never", "At least he has a #1", "He's famous and you're not".
Let's speak the truth, you Bieber fans think WAY too much about him (1 million in its first week...please!)

I'm glad you pointed that out.
It's funny that a lot of people that say this underwhelmed have faves whose last albums underwhelmed.

These sales kinda make FF's and 4's first week sales look more impressive tbh.

Why did more people buy Boyfriend than the album though?
But anyway, I don't see why this is being considered bad. It's quite respectable, IMO. How many albums released this year have debuted with higher sales?

This is really underwhelming, even with the Amazon discount, promotion on every TV network, two night NBC special, hit single, tweeting the itunes link

And Justin has longevity , just like the Queen

He's at his peak, and his fanbase is loyal as ****, even more than the Brit army and Little Monsters imo.
I expected at least 550K-600K.

I thought it was gonna do 600k+ to be honest. There really wasn't much hype around it irl, but then i saw all the videos w/all the fan-girl stampedes on E! and "Beatles-like States of Emergencies" and assumed that i was just out of touch.
I should've gone with my gut.

Nicki sold a good 20k above industry predictions. Your point?
And her debut album sold 375,000 without a hit single. Mkay, goodbye.

It's very easy to buy a single for $1.29 than it is an album worth $10-$14.
I mean, "Hold It Against Me" debuted with 411k in opening sales, which Femme Fatale debuted with 276k.

Very good but extremely underwhelming numbers, really. What is most worrying is that the initial prediction started from 440K (hinting at a possible 500K debut) and then gradually decreased. The latest prediction was 390-410K, and final sales don't even top 375K.
Frontloaded as hell.

your point???? lol he still sold more. And like I said this is a transition album. So the fact that he sold more at all is good. It means he didn't lose his fanbase after changing sound.
