It's more to do with the song than Rihanna tbh, it has a great build up. I'd say even if Rihanna wasn't there and a DJ played that song, people would be going wild.

They do a fine job of that by themselves.

Rihanna is the perfect example at how you can have strings of hit singles and yet be piss poor when it comes to performing.

I mean lets be real she went on stage looking a damn mess.. I liked the hair she had in NY but that sew in fringe embodied struggle.

The outfit looked like she had tumblr hipsters styling her..

Her dancers though were actually quite good..

Bey on the other hand shows how working hard and not rehearsing a week before your show can be extremely beneficial.. Yes she is sometimes robotic and repetitive but I'd take that over lazy any day of the week.
