I say we protest. Lower music prices, or we keep downloading illegally. Prices for music shouldn't be this high. Record companies make over 80% or record sales. The price for albums and songs should have gone down when the piracy pandemic started, but instead they are raising the prices, making consumers illegally download more. If the prices for albums and songs were cheaper, I'm sure piracy wouldn't be such a problem. CD's should cost from about 5-7 bucks, and individual songs could be 40-50 cents.
If they want to stop piracy, they also need to do their part. Don't just try to get everyone in trouble, but try to save the industry. This isn't going to make people buy more music, it's just going to kill the music industry. No one has the money to buy so much music in today's economy.
Goodbye music industry.
