However, "Wide Awake" will become Katy's eighth top ten hit from Teenage Dream, giving Katy a share of the most top ten hits from one album record alongside Janet, who as we all know managed eight top ten hits from her album Rhythm Nation 1814. And further, Janet's eighth single was "State Of The World" which made #4; if "Wide Awake" can reach the Top 3, which does look likely, "Wide Awake" will be the highest peaking eighth single in history. And for another statistic, "Wide Awake" gives Katy a share of the record for most top ten hits this decade, alongside Rihanna, who both have eight, despite Rihanna's hits this decade being divided amongst three albums, compared to one for Katy. One more? "Wide Awake" is the first top ten hit with a title containing the word "wide" since "With Arms Wide Open" in 2000, and nothing in the last 18 years has had the word "awake" in title.
