Ooh that could have worked. I guess her label wanted it out by the holidays because they assumed it'd rack up more sales that way, but I think the opposite ended up happening (i.e., it kinda got lost in the shuffle). If they'd extended the Animal era and waited till spring for the EP, then not only would we have gotten more singles from the former but the latter wouldn't have had to face quite as much competition at the time of its release.

Sounds like a win-win strategy.

I just really hate how they abandoned Animal after just four singles.

So many missed opportunities. Should probably just get over it already.

It might have halted her streak of top 10s, but can you imagine how amazing the video(s) would have been? Like, a proper video for Cannibal -- something grandiose and cinematic and iconic. But not too scary.

I would have loved a scary, gore filled video for Cannibal

At least that way it would get flagged by Youtube and if it flopped and we could blame that for the reason

I would have cried if Animal had been released as a single. Imo, it's one of her best songs ever. But tbh I never expected it, I think it couldn't have become as popular as her songs that ended up being singles.

The video for Animal is really great, even though it's just a "backdrop" video

I really think Sleazy would have done amazing on the charts. People in my school were so proud that they could rap the whole Sleazy rap as much as they were about Super Bass. Even though it wasn't released as a single, everyone loved that song. The music video would be amazing

I picture it really tribal and in a jungle.

The Harold Song should've been the last single of Cannibal imo, it would've slayed

With Cannibal having a controversial gore filled video and the Harold Song having a sweet 'Calfornia King Bed'-esque video except more exciting to show off a more vulnerable side to K$
