Do you mean "Lady Gaga and the sociology of fame" college course at University of SC? I googled Lady Gaga studying fame but that's all it came up.

60 Minutes:
“You’ve studied the fame of other people, how they got it, how they kept it and how they lost it,” Cooper remarked.
“The sociology of fame and how to maintain a certain privacy without, feeling like you’re withholding anything from your fans. My philosophy is that if I am open with them about everything, and yet I art direct every moment of my life, I can maintain a sort of privacy in a way. I maintain a certain soulfulness that I have yet to give,” Lady Gaga said.

I know, I just mean that some people forget she needed to make a dive away from #1 hits and into a niche market eventually if she wanted to avoid a "radio artist" label.
How she follows up this album will be interesting for sure.

GaGa is extremely smart, & I bet by now she knows the typical mistakes starlets make on their road to fame. She has always seemed like an observer to me, but in the sense that she observes & than fixes the mistakes she sees in the observations.
At least I hope so. My hope is the she knows that she has to somehow recreate TFM's success without actually recreating TFM. Not only would that be predictable to the GP, the music could potentially sound dated as well. 2009 =/= 2012.
I honestly have nothing to say with what I want from her, because I loved BTW. So I'll be fine with anything as long as she doesn't simply regress back to the past. I also do want her to lighten up her music a bit. Not saying that she should return to TF style (I cringe when people say that tbh), but I think she shouldn't be afraid to make a lighthearted, simple song like Starstruck or LoveGame. A song or two like that would be perfect for her at the moment.

She wrote essays on fame during her time at NYU.

I love that interview
Tbh she know what she's doing. But she just didn't get to handle btw era correctly (its all Judas' fault ) Marry the Night flopped that's why we're going to have a new era coming

She did, sometime during the BTW Era one of her papers from college was leaked but my computer got a virus and I had to delete everything. It was great though, it highlighted some artist and how he attained fame and also how he lost it

Very interesting.
1) It seems like Gaga covered the rise, experience/consequence/effects, and fall of Fame in TF, TFM, and this future work. It almost feels as if this next will continue where The Fame Monster left off.
2) In some way, her being open about everything yet saving some things to keep private for herself and keep the people intrigued somehow ties to Private in Public for me.
3) She really knows what she's talking about esp. since I already believed she was set on this/studied this before hand. She could have her whole career and what she wants to do with her work and music planned out already.

I don't know if the next album is gonna be light and happy. I mean the theme will be about martyrs of fame, not exactly a cheerful subject
I think it'll be very dark (not katy perry dark) but even more so than TFM. But she might surprise me with a few bubbly happy songs probably about Princess Diana or Judy Garland.
Also, I think she planned out everything from start to finish, the trilogy of fame. Not exactly the music but the theme, mood, sounds, etc.

Born This Way was a necessary move in my opinion. It solidified her artistic credibility.
The first single will be really important, so I hope it is radio-friendly, not as preachy as BTW & accessible to everyone in some way (not alienating like Judas was). Plus it will have been a year since a relevant GaGa song was all over pop radio. It's about time.
I remember back when BtW came out I said I wanted the new album Holidays 2012. I'm glad that's coming true. Or did I say holidays 2013? I can't remember.

I'm interested in how this timeline is all gonna work out for her.
November is booked with touring, and that's when artists usually launch their holiday albums. Would she wait until December at the last minute, or go with October? (That's in 4Q, so that'd be in line with Jeff's tweet.) If she did that, when would the lead single be out? September? But she'd be touring in Europe then, but August seems early. It's really a tight schedule.
Musically, I agree. I was just posting to Gagasm how I think she could really get in with this house wave that seems to be building in pop.
Rihanna and Katy seem to wanna go darker, and rumor has it that Rhi even wants to test out some house. Zedd/DJWS have experience in that field, so....
Gaga's the next major pop girl with a new era, so she can really run with that. It'd be fresh because right now we have electro-BS on the radio, not TRUE house. It's sexy, fun, marketable, and best of all experimental.
Garibay's mix tape had a lot of examples:
http://soundcloud.com/fernandogaribay/mixtape10
3:58, 5:00, 28:20, 40:17, 46:00, 53:50
53:50 is the most accurate representation of true house. (Garibay's mixtape) It's a lot darker than anything you'd hear on pop radio right now. Obviously it'd be mixed with pop/Lady Gaga vocals etc.
