The Ai/Kumi rivalry was even faker than the Utada/Ayumi one
I love how in that one Ayu documentary where they talk about A Best being released the same week as Distance and they don't even mention Hikki's name, even though everyone knows who it was.

Ai actually gives me bitchy vibes though. Unlike the other 3.
I get more of a vibe that she doesn't care at all about her "rivals". She just does her own thing. Or at least she used to. Cause right now she's doing **** all.
I do admire how much work Ayumi put into where she is now though. She was a high school dropout/delinquent and had the poorest background out of any of the J-Pop divas currently reigning.
I appreciate Ayu's consistent effort but I don't appreciate her inconsistent music. I got a lot of respect for Utada because she literally does not offer herself a chance to **** up.

That happens when you release 1 to 2 albums every year not even counting singles and all that stuff. Leaves A LOT of room for rushed filler and inconsistency
For me personally Utada's music took a huge dump after 2002. She's still delivered some nice tracks after 2002 but her music before 2002 was much better imo.
