One Sweet Day - 1995
We Belong Together - 2005
Untitled - 2015

Excited

Here with the legendary filmmaker Spike Lee, sharing a special moment honoring Michael Jackson's BAD 25th anniversary.

I think we all need to have a little discussion.

I would greatly appreciated it if some of you didn't throw random shade in SYG and then leave. Because then I'm left, alone, to defend The Queen by my lonesome. That's not cool. We're a small base enough as it is, so it's even more difficult when we don't come together. In the end, I'm going to be the one racking up points because I always defend Mariah, but it only feels good If my defense is subsequent. And this isn't even just about SYG.

Our stanbase is a MESS.

The PITTS.

We have no collective-ness.

Yes, some of you are delusional.
Yes, some of you are troublemakers.
Yes, some of you are awesome.

Some of you can't have a back and forth, intelligent conversation with non-Lamb's without coming off a certain way. I don't want anyone to feel like I'm being extra or mean, this is just what I see day-to-day.

We need to get it together.

 ^Oh, I definitely agree.

I mean, Mariah's my 2nd fave artist after Bruno, but some of the lambs are so messy.... I can't.

I mean, they can't hold their own against the simplest of fanbases. They don't even know/have their own fave's receipts.

 This is so true, like..

I just spent over an hour finding Mariah's Australian receipts for a Britney stan, no less, and that's only a little piece of everything I have.
The Lambs on Whitney Houston's forum are more well equipped

Sometimes I feel reluctant to find the receipts to defend Mariah
you are the master of the "numbers" and I don't even know how many Mariah's albums sold WW exactly
You may call me flop stan
Anyway, I think we must put all the receipts here so when we are happen to defend Mariah, we know what we have to do

I understand how you feel. When I first joined ATRL, I didn't understand that the only thing people care about are numbers. The only thing they're going to comprehend are numbers. And it doesn't help that some sources are unreliable, inflated, deflated, etc. Everything looks worse though when I'm defending Mariah and I say, "she's sold over 160 million albums." and then another Lamb comes in and says she's sold 145 or she's sold 150.
What we all need to do is take every receipt we each already have and compare & check them off of each other. It's perfectly fine if you have nothing to contribute as long as you come away with something in the end.

 Right!

Most of these silly stanwars would be easily settled in seconds if they had MusicBox(!!!) , Daydream and Emancipation receipts at bay. But they don't.

Mariah's sales stats crush ALL the pop girls sans Madonna. She should be damn near undraggable at this point.

 YESSS!
It's sooo hard to fing Japan numbers, but I'm glad you did.
#1s is her highest seller there. It's at 3.5million+ there. It did 1 million first week in Jp alone.

MusicBox receipts are un****withable. I had the stats bookmarked somewhere on my laptop, but off the top of my head:

It's one of 2 albums by a female to sell over 1 mill copies in Netherlands (the other is a Celine Dion album) EVER.

It's one of 4 albums by a female to sell over 1 million copies in Australia (The other 3 being Adele, Madge and Delta Gooldtreem)

It's the best selling female album EVER in Singapore, North/South Korea, Malaysia and a bunch of Asian countries I can't recall )

It went Diamond+ in nearly every country it was released in, apart from the UK (5X Plat) and Germany (1.5 million copies sold; 7X Plat)

So much for being 'local'
