I LOVE "IA...SF" the album made me a huge fan. I don't think it's her worst at all.

It's a good album, but it's her worst.

In a nutshell

The lyricism on the I Am... half was GORGEOUS. But it was boring. The Sasha Fierce side was a bop the whole way through, but the lyrics AND production were basic. Only Sweet Dreams stood out. Then she re-releases it and globs all of these songs together, while adding even more songs. A lot of the extra songs she threw on didn't sound like they belonged with the I Am... songs or the SF songs. They were out of place. It was so disorganized and inconsistent.

But it was good.

I've always loved IASF and I always will.
That album is so near and dear to my heart. Such classic melodies and timeless songs.

One of you guys fall in love and have to be away from them for a while, or have them turn out to be nothing like you expected, or just simply fall in love. The album is extremely relatable and it's so beautiful.
I honestly don't understand the hate it gets. She executed the theme of the album perfectly. Given that the music wasn't even Sasha-like for the Sasha side, it was still a great approach to the music and it's not an album you'd expect from Bey. None of her albums are, but like if you told me she was creating a folk inspired album in 06, I'd shun you to death. The whole concept of this album was about restraint, refinement, classic melodies, control, subtleties, classic elements that affect you in an emotional way. I love I Am... the most.

4 was classic from like an R&B soul standpoint and IASF was classic from a folk and alternative standpoint. Well the I Am... side anyway.
If you appreciate folk and acoustic music, then automatically there's an appreciation for the ballads on IASF.

I Am...'s lyrics and acoustics are gorgeous. It is just a TAD boring SOMETIMES.

But IASF is I Am... and Sasha Fierce. SF weighs the entire project down a whole lot. And once again, IASF sounds a disorganized, inconsistent mess when thrown together.

Ummm... That's why there are TWO separate discs. She was well aware of this.
Or when you're listening does it go If I Were a Boy, Single Ladies, Halo, Radio, Disappear, Diva... ect? You can change that on your computer to make it flow. The inconsistent, or not cohesive thing is just a fluke in my opinion because there is a way to make the album work on a ballad vs midtempo/uptempo standpoint.

I never hated it. I still play it to this very day. I understand it's her most "commercial" album per se, but it's solid for what it is.

I didn't like it before, but now I love it and actually think it's her 2nd best album (After her prime artistic Masterpiece, B'Day). The songs on I am... Sasha Fierce sounded so good and were flawless.
