Both Andy's are sent packing from the warmup tournament for Wimbledon today.
And death @ Haas beating Federer. Ugh I don't understand why we only have 2 weeks between the French and Wimbledon. Those are opposite surfaces, they should have the MOST time between them

I ain't complaining. Can't wait to see the Williams sisters and Clijsters back in action.

True I want to see both Venus and Serena play.
I hope that after the Olympics Venus retires, or after the US Open. I know that she love tennis and all, but at least retire from singles. She has had an illustrous career, one of the best of all time, but the last few year she has been ruining that with injuries and her syndrome. She should just do doubles exclusively with Serena.
And speaking of Serena, she should start doing more mixed doubles. She is SO CLOSE to a career boxed grand slam (winning at all 4 majors in singles, doubles, and mixed). She only needs the mixed GS at the Australian Open and French Open and she would join 3 other ladies in the HISTORY of tennis to do so. Such an exclusive club And if she wins the gold medal in mixed this year, would that count as a Career Golden Boxed Grand Slam? Or would she need the gold in singles and mixed to get that (she has two in doubles)? The possibilities

I doubt Venus continues playing much longer anyway.
I guess she could do that. I need her to win the gold in singles first tho. It would be something she hasn't achieved yet and another crown stone to highlight her superiority.

Yeah I doubt that Venus' body could sustain something as competitive as tennis much longer. I can't wait until she's inducted into the tennis hall of fame
I'm hoping that either Li Na, Petra Kvitova, or Serena Williams take the gold, with the other two battling it out for the silver and the Bronze
Ohmygawd. David Nalbandian is ugly alright but not he's ugly on the inside and out
He really is. It isn't shown in that video, but after the match was ended they interviewed him, and he didn't even seem sorry for what he did or concerned about the guy he hurt. Instead he took the opportunity to rant about the ATP, and blamed them for the match having to come to an end, instead of taking responsibility for breaking the rules.

What a ****ing asshole .
It doesn't matter, Cilic would have won anyway. But if you can't follow the rules then you shouldn't be able to play!

She such an inspiring champion.
Li? Kvitova? Are you kidding me? Those 2 better steer clear of the Olympic medals.
Serena for the gold, Clijsters for the silver and Venus for the bronze would be a dream come true.

David Nalbandian is being investigated on assault charges.
Serena ,Maria & Kivitova should be the main contenders for the medals at the Olympics.
Clijsters has never been able to make a dent on grass, theres no way in hell she could push Serena or Maria around on grass coming off a hip injury, especially when her movement is/was the best part of her game.
This week has been a hot ****ing mess:
Haas beating Fatherer
Nalbandian disqualified
Oudone winning a WTA title over Junkovic
Localnet winning a WTA title against Dickmayer

Serena was fined $82,500 (originally $175,000 before being reduced) for a verbal assault.
Nalbandian is fined $69,910 for a physical assault.
I know that different organizations were responsible for each fine (Serena-ITF, David-ATP), but it still seems backwards.
That is backwards as well

I'm not so sure. Didn't Clijsters make a final at Wimbledon once? And with a power game like hers you would think it should translate well on grass but you're right, she's never been too solid.
I can see either Serena or Maria taking the gold. I'd place my bets on Maria because sometimes Serena loses to players she shouldn't lose to (a la 2008 Olympics). Maria always wins against players she has to beat and only loses to the greatest players on tour, like Radwanska, either Williams sister (mostly Serena), and Azarenka.

I love Li and Kvitova, and I can see either of them getting bronze and potentially silver
I swear I'll have a stroke, if Serena is drawn to play Razzano in the 1st round.
Yeah, I heard about this...
If she draws Razzano . It's just gonna be payback. Razzano may have been able to chase a few balls down on clay, but not on grass. No active player, besides Venus, is better than Serena on grass

Clijsters never made the finals at Wimbledon, she's been to a couple of semis and I think maybe a couple of quarters, she's lost early a bunch of times or she just didn't play. You would think that would be a good surface for her considering her amazing athleticism, I think she and Novak are the best movers ever.
And yeah if Serena draws Razzano at the championships or the Olympics you know it's
going to be lights out for her, Serena's defeats are usually short lived. She's destroyed Stosur and Azarenka since they beat her, I don't think they've even won a set off her.
****I pray to the tennis Gods that Maria & Serena are on different sides of the draw so they can both make the dream final!
I guess it's not too shocking that Radwanska & Kvitova lost. Pironkova's made a SF and QF at the last two Wimbledons, while Makarova won Eastbourne a couple years ago. All four have major grass-court achievements. As for Wozniacki, well she sucks so it's not a big deal.
