The concert went great ! it started a little late but it was good , I sang Someone Like You instead of singing S & S ( Unfortunately ) everyone wanted that one and they said I only can do one song because we didn't have time , and I did SLY , and everyone sang along ( which is someone awesome ) and when I walked down stage everyone was just SO NICE !
I was very happy about the performance .

Oh and a string broke while I was in the middle of performing
I really didn't expect it in this song , because I don't play the guitar hard .

I didn't know what to do first but then I figured I should just continue without stopping , and no one even noticed at the end !

So, I was just playing around on IMDb. Then I stumbled to this thread asking on how ABBA was perceived during the '70s, someone responded:

I can only speak about my perception as a tween, then a teen, in Britain when they won the Eurovision Song Contest and then proceeded to have many hits for the next ten years. They were meteorically successful, famous and hit-making, so millions of people must have loved them -- yet if you were 13 and asked any of your other 13 year old buddies what they thought of Abba at the time, they would practically spit on the ground.

It wasn't "cool" to admit that you liked Abba's music, at least, not if you were young or purported to be into more serious music or rock. Abba were thought of at the time as bubblegum, fluff, saccharine pop, and of little consequence even though they were huge and ever present on the charts in the UK for at least a decade.

Of course, over time, even the detractors (I was among them) have come to realise that those songs are fcking little GEMS of genius pop songwriting. The songs have structure, fabulous melodies, great harmonies, perfect arrangements -- they are little slices of genius songwriting and production, dressed up as bubblegum.

Of course, when you're a teen desperately trying to have serious tastes and be taken seriously by your peers, you can't even see past anything else (again I'm speaking mostly of myself here, but if I was one, there must be more like me).

To sum up: dismissed at the actual time as corny as hell by a lot of the target audience, yet someone must have been buying the millions of units sold.

Can't wait for our turn to tell similar story like this to the future youngins.

It's just the matter of time at this point. We're just 4 years away from LP1 10 year anniv, ppl will start to recognize her as a legit artist around that time. The wait is almost over.

We've joked around with something similar by suggesting that Taylor should release an EP titled Dear John or Forever and Always. Each would have 4-5 songs that are weaved together to create a story.
