Idk, I never really take notice or know when someone who isn't one of my faves releases an album. But for promotion and stuff there should be a bigger gap.

akmsga, No. Most the UK artists have done this
1. Premieres the song like 2 months before the release date
2. Then they release teasers of the music video
3. Then the music video
4. One or Three performances
5. iTunes

I know. Stateside, they usually release the first single 2 months before the album release and usually throw a second one in 1-2 weeks before. I guess if they do crazy promo during those 2 weeks that could be a smart idea.

As I said, I pay no attention to these things, Marina starting promoting Electra Heart months before it was released and Gaga the same with Born This Way.

Marina did it because she needs all the promo she can get and Gaga isn't from the UK

She managed to get that #1 album fine with only a few promo slots here and there.

I also hope that the next album is released at the same time everywhere, the same with the singles.
